    Medical Assistant

    Certified Clinical Medical Assistants are multi-skilled allied healthcare professionals who may administer medications, assist with minor procedures, record vital signs, take medical histories, prepare patients and rooms for examinations, handle laboratory specimens, provide patient education and much more.

    Medical Office Assistant

    Medical Administrative Assistants perform various administrative tasks depending on the day-to-day demands of the office. Using your knowledge of medical terminology and software applications you will be charged with checking in patients at the front desk, answering the phones, scheduling patients for appointments, conducting interviews with patients regarding their case histories before the scheduled appointment, compiling medical records and charts, operating computer software and office equipment, transferring lab results to the appropriate clinic and maintaining supplies and the appearance of the office. A Medical Administrative Assistant typically works in a hospital, clinic or private practice setting.

    After successful completion of the course, you will be eligible to take the Medical Office Assistant Certification to obtain your national certification.

    This course is only 6 weeks and the last 2 weeks in class/lab for hands-on practice

Our school is certified to teach varies of different Allied Health Courses and approved by ODH for our Nurse Aide Training Course.

              COVID Tests and Screens may be conducted on all students that enter our Lab and/or Clinical Site. If a student tests positive for COVID 19, 1st Choice Career Centers will follow CDC recommended guidelines and the positive student may be placed on hold from attending in-person classes and the hold duration will be based on CDC recommendations.
