Certified Clinical Medical Assistants are vital members of the healthcare team who perform both clinical and administrative duties. You’ll learn how to take patient histories, record vital signs, assist with minor procedures, administer medications, and manage basic lab work—all while ensuring excellent patient communication and professionalism.
Because of your diverse skill set, you can work in clinics, hospitals, physicians’ offices, outpatient centers, and specialty facilities across Ohio and beyond.
Program Format:
10 weeks online + 2 weeks in-person hands-on lab
Hybrid model combining flexibility and clinical experience
Prepares you for national certification and job placement
To qualify for the program, you must:
Be 18 years or older
Provide two forms of ID
Have a high school diploma or GED
Submit a negative TB test
Complete a physical exam
Pass a criminal background check

Program Fee: $1,875 — $200 deposit required to hold your seat
(Add $200 for study materials and certification exam when applying for financing.)

COVID Tests and Screens may be conducted on all students that enter our Lab and/or Clinical Site. If a student tests positive for COVID 19, 1st Choice Career Centers will follow CDC recommended guidelines and the positive student may be placed on hold from attending in-person classes and the hold duration will be based on CDC recommendations.
