CNA Course

The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), also known in Ohio as a State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA), plays a vital role on the healthcare team by providing essential patient care and daily living support. At 1st Choice Career Centers, our 2–4 week CNA program prepares you to pass the Ohio Nurse Aide Competency Exam and begin a rewarding healthcare career.

Skills you will learn include:

• Feeding and nutrition assistance

• Bathing, grooming, and hygiene care

• Taking and recording vital signs

• Safe patient transportation and mobility support

• Resident rights and communication

• Infection prevention and control

• Safety and emergency procedures

• Mental health and restorative services

Our training combines classroom instruction with hands-on clinical practice, giving you the knowledge and confidence to succeed in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home health.

Enrollment Criteria

To qualify for the program, students must:

• Be at least 16 years of age

• Provide a negative TB test

• Complete a physical exam

• Pass a criminal background check

• Submit a valid Social Security card and photo ID

• Demonstrate English reading, writing, and comprehension at a 6th-grade level

• July 28, 2025 – Mon–Thu, 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM

• August 26, 2025 (Hybrid) – Mon–Thu, 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM

• September 29, 2025 – Mon–Thu, 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM

  • Clinicals held Friday & Saturday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Program Fees:

• Cleveland: $575 (Day & Evening) – $200 deposit required

• Chillicothe / Youngstown / Warren / Columbus: $625 (Day & Evening) – $200 deposit required

If applying for financing, please add $200 for study materials and exam certification. Enrollment is confirmed once your deposit is received.

There is a 3% online processing fee added to each transaction to pay online.
